Salary: Grade 3, pay point 2 – Full time equivalent salary, based on 52-week contract is £24,413 (Pending salary pay award), this post is based on pro-rata for part-time/term time only contracts.
Hours per week: 12:15 – 13:27 (3.60 hours per week) Monday, Tuesday and Wednesday’s
Weeks per year: 38 weeks
Start Date: ASAP subject to Enhanced DBS checks and two satisfactory references.
Job outline
Staff and the Local Trust Committee of Scargill Church of England Primary School are looking to appoint an enthusiastic, patient and caring part-time Mid-day Supervisor to join our friendly village school on Monday’s, Tuesday’s and Wednesday’s only. Excellent communication skills are essential to liaise with our pupils and school staff. Duties include providing a high level of care and support for the pupils during lunchtime. This will be either, in the playground, dining hall, or when lunchtime play is in the classrooms, due to the inclement weather. Training will be provided, but we require our MDS to complete L3 Paediatric Emergency First Aid and due to new legislation effective from September, 2026, Benedict’s Law, anaphylaxis training is mandatory to all school staff and other mandatory online training such as Safeguarding.
Scargill CE Primary School became part of Derby Diocesan Academy Trust in September 2017.
