Hours per week: Full-time – 32.

Age Range:  3 – 7 years

NOR: 120 plus 2YO and 3YO provision

Job outline

A rare and exciting opportunity has arisen for Governors to appoint an experienced and committed teacher who has the knowledge, skills, passion and drive to become a member of the Senior Leadership Team (SLT) and lead on further developing our Foundation Stage Unit in school.

 

This is an ideal role for somebody who has a passion for Early Years and would like to make their mark within our Early Years provision and make a real difference to the lives of our youngest children in our wonderful school community.

 

We are looking to appoint a creative, experienced and enthusiastic lead teacher who:

 

  • has the vision, interpersonal skills and expertise to lead teaching and learning in the Foundation Stage;
  • is an outstanding teacher, with high expectations and standards who is able to use these to raise outcomes across the school;
  • will significantly contribute to the functions of the SLT, including the development of the School Improvement Plan (SIP) and the review of the School Evaluation Form (SEF);
  • has an innovative and exciting approach to learning, especially for our youngest children;
  • has the ability to reflect on and develop their own practice and that of others;
  • is willing to play a key role in the development, delivery and enrichment of our curriculum;
  • is passionate about the early years and working in close partnership with our families;
  • is committed to expanding our Nursery provision;
  • is well organised;
  • is a proactive team player, who will make a positive contribution to our whole school family and
  • has the ability to remain calm under pressure, to see and bring out the best in everybody and to sprinkle kindness, love and positivity, even on the darkest of days, are an absolute must.
