Hours per week: 8:45am to 12:45pm and 1:15pm to 3:30pm, 31.25 hours per week

Weeks per year: 39 weeks

Job outline

Are you passionate about helping students reach their full potential? We are looking for a dedicated and enthusiastic Learning Support Assistant to join our small, nurturing school community.

As a Learning Support Assistant, you will play a vital role in supporting pupils in our Garden Class (Reception, Y1, Y2) and in our Meadow Class (Y3, Y4, Y5, Y6) from 1st September 2025.   You will support pupils with their learning needs, ensuring they feel confident and motivated throughout the school day. Part of the role will include lunchtime duty, where you will assist with supervision, ensuring a safe and enjoyable break for all students.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide 1:1 and small group support to students with various learning needs.
  • Assist the classroom teacher in preparing resources and managing the learning environment.
  • Offer emotional and social support to students.
  • Supervise students during lunchtime, ensuring their safety and wellbeing.
  • Help maintain a positive and inclusive school atmosphere.

Ideal Candidate:

  • Compassionate and patient, with a genuine desire to help children succeed.
  • Previous experience in a similar role is beneficial but not essential.
  • Good communication skills and a team player.
  • Able to work independently and adapt to varying situations.
